Accountant and purchase officee

Job Description

The Purchase Officer cum Accountant will be responsible for managing the procurement process, maintaining financial records, and ensuring efficient financial operations. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in the real estate industry, with strong skills in both procurement and accounting.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Procurement Duties:
  • Identify and evaluate suppliers, negotiate contracts, and ensure cost-effective purchasing.
  • Prepare and process purchase orders and documents in accordance with company policies.
  • Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and other important data.
  • Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure optimal stock levels.
  • Coordinate with project managers and other departments to understand procurement needs.
  • Ensure timely delivery of goods and services and resolve any issues related to delivery.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors.
Accounting Duties:
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable and receivable.
  • Prepare and process invoices, receipts, payments, and other financial transactions.
  • Reconcile bank statements and ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
  • Monitor budgets and ensure adherence to financial policies and procedures.
  • Assist in the preparation and filing of tax returns and other statutory requirements.
  • Support the finance team with audits and other financial reviews.

Education + Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in procurement and accounting, preferably in the real estate industry.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement processes, financial management, and accounting principles.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • High attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations.
