Job Description

General Manager (GM) Sales & Business Development in the Real Estate sector, you will be responsible for driving sales growth and business expansion strategies. You will lead a team of sales professionals, develop strategic initiatives, and foster strong client relationships to achieve revenue targets and market penetration goals.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

1. Sales Strategy Development:
  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve company goals and expand market share.
  • Identify new business opportunities, partnerships, and markets.
  • Analyze market trends and competitor activities to optimize sales efforts.
2. Team Leadership and Management:
  • Lead, mentor, and manage the sales team to ensure high performance and alignment with company objectives.
  • Set sales targets, motivate team members, and monitor performance metrics.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide ongoing training and development.
3. Business Development:
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities through networking, cold calling, and relationship building.
  • Negotiate and close agreements with large customers and strategic partners.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including developers, investors, and property owners.
4. Client Relationship Management:
  • Cultivate strong relationships with existing and potential clients to understand their needs and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Coordinate with marketing teams to develop promotional strategies and materials to support sales objectives.
5. Financial Management:
  • Prepare and manage sales budgets, forecasts, and reports.
  • Monitor expenses and profitability to ensure financial targets are met.
6. Market Analysis and Strategy Implementation:
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and threats.
  • Develop pricing strategies and promotional plans to drive sales and revenue growth.
7. Compliance and Risk Management:
  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Assess and mitigate risks associated with sales and business development activities.

Education + Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Real Estate, or a related field. MBA preferred.
  • Proven experience in sales management and business development within the real estate industry, with at least 7-10 years of progressive experience.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a sales team.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Strategic thinker with analytical abilities to identify market trends and opportunities.
  • Experience in managing large accounts and complex sales cycles.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and MS Office Suite.
