Radio Sales Head

Job Description

The Radio Sales Head is responsible for driving the sales and revenue growth of FM Tadka, a leading FM radio station in Jaipur. The role involves developing and executing sales strategies, managing the sales team, fostering client relationships, and achieving sales targets. The Radio Sales Head will work closely with the marketing, programming, and operations teams to ensure alignment of sales strategies with the overall business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to achieve revenue targets.
  • Analyze market trends and competition to identify new business opportunities. Forecast sales targets and budget allocation for various sales activities.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of sales professionals.
  • Set performance goals, conduct regular performance reviews, and provide ongoing training and development. Foster a high-performance culture within the sales team.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and advertising agencies. Understand client needs and provide tailored advertising solutions.
  • Oversee the entire sales process from lead generation to contract negotiation and closing.
  • Monitor sales performance metrics and prepare regular sales reports. Collaborate with the finance team to manage billing and collections.
  • Work with the marketing team to develop promotional strategies and campaigns.
  • Participate in industry events, trade shows, and networking activities to enhance brand visibility and generate leads. Coordinate with programming and operations teams to ensure alignment of sales activities with programming content.
  • Provide feedback to the content team to help develop listener-engaging programs that attract advertisers. Ensure all sales activities comply with company policies and regulatory requirements.

Education + Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of sales experience in the media industry, with at least 3 years in a leadership role in radio sales.
  • Strong understanding of the radio broadcasting industry and advertising market.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.
  • Exceptional negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
